ASA RISE Fellowship: Selection of Cohort 2 Fellows

ASA RISE

The American Society on Aging (ASA) has selected the second cohort of its ASA RISE Fellowship, a leadership and social justice program for leaders of color in aging.

The vision of ASA RISE 20-week program is to lead to improved well-being across an increasingly diverse aging population by creating a BIPOC leadership pool that improves policies and programs at the local, state and national levels.

Weekly sessions will provide training and mentorship in aging field on fundamental principles of advocacy, social justice and leadership development. ASA RISE Fellows will build a national, cross-industry network of peers and thought leaders. They also will gain a greater appreciation for the unique dynamics that come with being a BIPOC leader. In addition, ASA RISE Fellows will each have a mentor that they meet with biweekly to share their experiences, seek career advice and counsel and ultimately expand their network.

The application for Cohort 3 will open May 2023.
