As part of its partnership with Trust for America’s Health on Age-Friendly Public Health Systems, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) has produced two resources for public health departments and their partners.
A brief, Applying Healthy Aging Practices and Policies to Advance Brain Health and Caregiving, outlines objectives, resources and examples for supporting brain health and caregiving at the state level.
A blog, Prioritizing Community-Clinical Linkages to Prevent Falls in Older Adults, provides evidence-based approaches for falls prevention among older adults, as well as considerations for implementation and sustainability of falls prevention programs.
