Boston College Virtual Event Recording: Age-Friendly Health Systems and the Role of Nursing Leadership
The Connell School of Nursing at Boston College hosted a virtual presentation on June 1 by Terry Fulmer, PhD, RN, FAAN, President, The John A. Hartford Foundation, on "Age-Friendly Health Systems and the Role of Nursing Leadership" followed by a discussion with Andrea Vicini, S.J., Rev. Michael P. Walsh Chair in Bioethics, Boston College.
Dr. Fulmer was the Dean Rita P. Kelleher Award recipient this year and gave the award presentation. The Dean Rita P. Kelleher Award recognizes a graduate of the Connell School of Nursing who embodies the BC nurse: an accomplished nurse leader, an ethically aware scientist, and inquisitive clinician.
Fulmer and Vicini discussed how health systems can provide evidence-based health care to older adults across the U.S.
