NASHP Webinar Recording: How States Are Implementing the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers

NASHP Webinar How States are Implementing the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers

The National Association for State Health Policy (NASHP) hosted a webinar February 5 on "How States are Implementing the National Strategy Family Caregivers." The video, slides and recap blog are now available.

The 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers has hundreds of action steps that public and private organizations at the local, state, and national level can take to better support caregivers. Since then, a range of states and organizations have developed supports for family caregiving in line with the National Strategy’s five goals. The Administration for Community Living (ACL) recently awarded grants to multiple states to support implementation of the National Strategy and increase access and awareness.

In the webinar, attendees learned about new and ongoing activity to support the National Strategy at the federal and state levels from the ACL, from JAHF, and from state administrators from the four states - CA, MA, MD and WI - that received the first ACL state caregiving implementation grants.
