On February 4, 2013, Bruce Leff, MD, a Hartford grantee who developed the Hospital at Home model, was featured in the Wall Street Journal for his work in treating frail, older patients at home. Hospital at Home is a model that many insurers and health systems are adopting which sends doctors, nurses, physicans assistants, and pharmacists into homes to provide hospital-level care, including portable lab tests, ultrasounds, X-rays and electrocardiograms.
