Business Institute Webinar: The Role of CBOs in Improving Health Care Quality Metrics
USAging's Aging and Disability Business Institute (Business Institute) is holding a webinar on December 7 on "The Role of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in Improving Health Care Quality Metrics."
Health plans are held to a variety of quality and performance metrics in their licensure, contracting and regulatory requirements. Falling short on these metrics has significant financial consequences and can affect a health plan’s ability to compete with other plans. The services that Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and other CBOs provide address the social determinants of health, such as inadequate housing, lack of transportation and health literacy, and can improve members’ health and quality of life—and a health plan’s performance outcomes. These are important selling points for CBOs seeking to contract with health plans.
In this webinar, Sharon Williams of Williams Jaxon Consulting will discuss which metrics are important for health plans, how the services that AAAs and CBOs provide can impact these measures, and how they can use this information to make pitches to health care organizations.
