The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) held a virtual briefing on February 25, "Palliative Care Outlook in 2021 – Results of a National Survey."

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve seen palliative care teams across the country stretch to meet the needs of their patients, colleagues, and organizations. This public health crisis is bringing to light remarkable innovation within the field, bringing new access to palliative care to millions of people. But while opportunities and strengths are abundant, it is also highlighting a growing set of threats and challenges to the field.

On the briefing, Diane Meier, MD, FACP, FAAHPM, Director of CAPC, revealed the findings of CAPC’s second COVID field survey. Nearly a year into the crisis, she talked about how COVID-19 has affected palliative care programs?
