CHCS Brief: Making the Invisible Visible-State Strategies for Identifying and Reaching Family Caregivers
The Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) has published a brief, "Making the Invisible Visible: State Strategies for Identifying and Reaching Family Caregivers."
Many states are seeking to more effectively address the challenges experienced by family caregivers, especially those from more marginalized communities. Accurately identifying family caregivers is a vital first step for states to promote available family caregiver supports and develop policies and programs that address the unique needs of all caregivers. This brief outlines practical strategies to identify and reach family caregivers pursued by cross-sector state teams participating in Helping States Support Families Caring for an Aging America, a CHCS initiative made possible by The John A. Hartford Foundation and the Michigan Health Endowment Fund.
