CMS Webinar on How MLTSS Can Help Family Caregivers
The CMS Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office (MMCO) in collaboration with The Lewin Group and AARP, is hosting a webinar on "How Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Can Help Family Caregivers."
The webinar will explain how MLTSS can lead the way to advancing person-and family-centered care; describe promising practices demonstrating effective family caregiver supports; and provide tools and recommendations that pave the way to better addressing family caregivers' needs.
This webinar will be based on findings from AARP’s Family Caregivers and MLTSS report which highlights a shift toward a person-and family-centered care approach along with new federal rules that are in place to support family caregivers in Medicaid. Wendy Fox-Grage, Lynn Friss Feinberg and Susan C. Reinhard from AARP will describe current innovative practices to support family caregivers in Financial Alignment Initiatives, including a focus on South Carolina Healthy Connections Prime and the Dementia Cal MediConnect Project, followed by Michelle Bentzien-Purrington from Molina Healthcare who will speak to implementing these practices within a health plan.
