Conversations with Grantmakers in Aging: Powerful Tools for Elder Economic Wellbeing: Important New Resources for Funders is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern (11:00 a.m. Pacific). Naomi Stanhaus, Program Consultant, The Retirement Research Foundation, and Ramsey Alwin, Senior Director, Economic Security, National Council on Aging, will review progress to date and lessons learned from a new holistic approach to economic security that involves a new way of thinking about service delivery at the community level; the Economic CheckUp, a new online consumer tool from the National Council on Aging (NCOA), that can empower low-income seniors to assess their needs and seek assistance; the economic advantages of connecting seniors to these services, both for individuals and the broader community; and promising approaches to advocacy around these issues and the role that funders can play in these efforts.
