Diverse Elders Coalition Blog: Past, Present, Future - American Indian and Alaska Native Elders, Caregiving, and the Fight for Health Equity
The Diverse Elders Coalition has published a blog, "Past, Present, Future: American Indian and Alaska Native Elders, Caregiving, and the Fight for Health Equity."
The blog - in recognition of Native American Heritage Month and National Family Caregivers Month - explores how the legacy of federal policy—from the boarding school era to today’s Medicaid and SNAP cuts—continues to shape the caregiving experiences of American Indian and Alaska Native families. It also uplifts the resilience, cultural continuity, and community-rooted caregiving that remain central to AI/AN health and well-being.
