Diverse Elders Coalition Webinar Series: Best Practices to Support Diverse Family Caregivers

The Diverse Elders Coalition (DEC) is holding a webinar series for healthcare and social services providers on best practices to support diverse family caregivers. The next webinar on June 3 will identify and address caregiving challenges faced by LGBTQ caregivers.

The free online trainings will identify and address caregiving challenges faced by communities of color, LGBT communities, and American Indian/Alaska Native communities and offer tips and tools for providers looking to better serve diverse family caregivers and older adults.

DEC is offering modules to support caregivers from all and/or the specific following communities in this New York State Caregiving & Respite Coalition (NYSCRC) webinar series:

    • May 6th - Asian American / Pacific Islander Caregivers
    • May 13th - Southeast Asian Caregivers
    • May 20th - African American Caregivers
    • May 27th - Latino Caregivers
    • June 3rd - LGBTQ Caregivers
    • June 10th - Alaska Native / American Indian Caregivers
