E4 Center Webinar: Older Adult Mental Health 101 for Community-Based Organizations

E4webinar

The E4 Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Disparities in Aging (E4 Center), the Collaborative Action Team training for Community Health — Older adult Network (CATCH-ON), and the Illinois Department on Aging are holding a webinar on October 18, "Older Adult Mental Health 101 for Community-Based Organizations."

While older adults have lower rates of mental health and substance use issues than younger adults, these issues can impact functioning and quality of life much more profoundly. Community-based organization staff who interact with older adults would benefit from an understanding of the unique ways that these disorders can present in older adults, along with the impact of life events, the environment, and systemic ageism.

Speakers include Erin Emery-Tiburcio, PhD, ABPP, Laurin Mack, PhD, and Susan Buehler, PhD.
