Fast-Forward Documentary: Winner of 2022 Sharecare Award
"Fast-Forward," a documentary, that follows four millennials and their baby boomer parents through an “aging boot camp,” has been awarded a Health/Science: Program/Special 2022 Sharecare Award.
The 60-minute documentary film, narrated by Rosario Dawson, inspires viewers to see their future in a whole new light by having critical conversations with their families about how they can maximize their choices and well-being throughout life. Wearing an MIT-produced “aging empathy suit” and working with professional make-up artists, the film's subjects grapple with the realizations, conversations and mindset required to age successfully. The film aired on PBS in March 2021.
The 2022 Sharecare Awards, held in association with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter – which inspires artistic and technical excellence through the renowned Emmy® Award – recognize the year’s best digital campaigns and content that promote health and well-being and embody the spirit of “sharing care.”
Next Avenue has partnered with the film to produce courses and a digital toolkit of resources, including step-by-step instructions and a master checklist, designed to help viewers prepare their own aging plans.
