FCA Webinar: Social Isolation and Well-Being for Caregivers

Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) held a webinar on April 16, "Social Isolation and Well-Being for Caregivers," as part of its COVID-19 webinar series for caregivers, consumers, and families.

Being a caregiver to family member or friend can be taxing physically, emotionally, and financially. Because of the many responsibilities family caregivers face, social isolation is a common experience. This can mean celebrating holidays alone, not spending time with friends, or giving up the enjoyment of entertaining. Social isolation has become an even more pressing problem as the majority of the country is now practicing physical distancing. The webinar discussed tools and tips to help caregivers cope with the isolation, stress, and anxiety of providing care during the coronavirus epidemic.

The FCA webinar series is co-sponsored by the San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS).
