Join the Movement Every State Should Have a Multisector Plan for Aging 1

The American Society on Aging's (ASA) Generations Now platform has published a blog, "Join the Movement: Every State Should Have a Multisector Plan for Aging."

ASA has partnered with West Health, The SCAN Foundation and The John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) on a series of posts and virtual and On Aging programming to foster Multisector Plans for Aging across the country. This blog, written by West Health's Amy Herr, The SCAN Foundation's Erin Westphal and JAHF's Scott Bane, is the first in the series.

The authors discuss how it is necessary for every state to have a blueprint for aging well to ensure the state's residents can live and age well in their communities and get support the support they need. They describe how the vision impacts everyone and highlight the progress made by states engaging in planning, including the Multisector Plan for Aging Learning Collaborative, a twelve-month collaborative from the Center for Health Care Strategies that helps states advance their strategic plan. The blog talks about how to get involved and what ASA is doing to propel multisector plans for aging.
