Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative Course: Elder Mistreatment Emergency Department Toolkit Training Program
The Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC) has released a course titled the "Elder Mistreatment Emergency Department Toolkit Training Program."
The course includes four e-modules developed by the National Collaboratory to Address Elder Mistreatment. These interactive course modules equip emergency department clinicians to screen and respond to cases of elder mistreatment among patients. They can be used by all staff to prepare to use the Elder Mistreatment Emergency Department (EMED) Toolkit.
The modules are:
- Introduction to Elder Mistreatment and the EMED Toolkit
- Using the Elder Mistreatment Brief Screen
- Using the Elder Mistreatment Full Screen
- Using the Elder Mistreatment Response Protocol
