GIA Webinar Recording: Healthcare Systems and Family Caregiving - What’s the Connection?
Grantmakers in Aging (GIA) held a Conversations with GIA webinar on February 13, "Healthcare Systems and Family Caregiving: What’s the Connection?"
The webinar explored the Family Caregiver Navigation project, a partnership between Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) and the Hospital Association of Southern California, to identify and integrate family caregivers as part of the healthcare team. VCCF and Dignity Health in Santa Maria, who undertook an initial pilot, explained the project, talked about what a family caregiver can expect to receive and discussed programmatic and funding strategies that can support family caregivers as healthcare partners.
