Grantmakers in Aging Webinar: Moving Forward to Advance Nursing Home Quality

GIA webinar Moving Forward Coalition

Grantmakers in Aging (GIA) is holding a Conversations with GIA webinar on June 20, "Moving Forward to Advance Nursing Home Quality," with Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition leaders.

The Moving Forward Coalition has brought together a diverse group of nursing home providers, staff, residents and care partners, policymakers, advocates and experts to advance important recommendations from the 2022 National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) report on nursing home quality. At the core of the Coalition’s efforts, committees are developing a series of action plans that will be published later this summer.

During the webinar, Coalition leaders will talk about the NASEM report, the Coalition’s work to date and opportunities for funders and providers to engage in the work. Speakers include:

  • Doug Pace, Senior Director, Long-Term & Community-Based Care, Alzheimer’s Association
  • Tetyana Shippee, Associate Professor, University of Minnesota School of Public Health
  • Alice Bonner, Chair, Moving Forward Coalition
