Grantmakers in Aging Webinar: Multisector Plans for Aging - A Global Perspective
Grantmakers In Aging (GIA), in collaboration with Grantmakers In Health, is hosting a webinar March 14 on, "Multisector Plans for Aging - A Global Perspective."
Across the United States, Multisector Plans for Aging are driving public-private partnerships at the highest level of state government. Globally, 128 countries have national or subnational plans on aging. These plans have the potential to influence policies and funding mechanisms across sectors with corresponding metrics to track impact.
The conversation will focus on planning efforts worldwide, philanthropy’s role in catalyzing multi-sector plans, and the feasibility of a national U.S. plan for aging. Speakers include:
- Vijeth Iyengar, Director of Global Aging, Office of International Affairs, AARP
- Peter Kaldes, President & CEO, American Society on Aging
- Alana Officer, Unit Head, Demographic Change and Healthy Ageing, World Health Organization
The webinar is supported by The SCAN Foundation, West Health and The John A. Hartford Foundation.
