Health & Aging Policy Fellows Webinar Series: Fridays for Aging Policy
The Health and Aging Policy Fellows (HAPF) program is holding a webinar series in September called "Fridays for Aging Policy." The third webinar is September 24 on "Long-Term Care: Building Better Post-Pandemic."
The HAPF series features experts who are shaping policy for the next decade on the timely and important topics of rural healthcare, health technology, and long-term care.
The webinars are:
- #1: Aging in Rural America: Addressing the Healthcare Shortage, September 10 at 1pm ET. The session discussed the shortage of providers, facilities, and services (e.g., transportation, nutritious food, etc.) that exist in rural areas and disproportionately affect older adults.
- #2: Health Technology: Building the Technological Divide, September 17 at 1pm ET. The session covered a range of topics including the adoption of technology among aging adults, use of assistive technology and telehealth in care delivery, and broadband access.
- #3: Long-Term Care: Building Better Post-Pandemic, September 24 at 1pm ET. The session will cover recent policy proposals intended to improve LTSS delivery.
