The Home Centered Care Institute (HCCI) is holding a webinar February 25, "Ready, Set, Go: Planning Ahead to Administer the COVID-19 Vaccine to HBPC Patients."

Many home-based primary care (HBPC) programs are still waiting to receive supplies of COVID-19 vaccine to administer to their homebound patients. With vaccine roll-out plans and protocols varying by state and by institution, it's no surprise that available guidance is very limited in just how to acquire the needed vaccine supply. There is, however, still much to be learned from HBPC programs that have been able to start administering the COVID-19 vaccine to their patients and even to household caregivers.

In this webinar, programs will highlight their lessons learned and describe the logistics and planning health care professionals can (and should) be putting into place now to ensure your practice is 'ready to go' once you receive vaccines for your patients. Presenters include:

  • Elizabeth Davis, MD, Medical Director, Rush @Home, Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois
  • Brian Lewis, MD, Associate Chief of Staff, Geriatrics and Extended Care, CLC/1B and Home Based Primary Care Medical Director, William S Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin
  • Trisha Seys Ranola, PharmD, CDE, BCGP, FAIHM, Home Based Primary Care Clinical Pharmacist, William S Middleton Memorial VA Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin
