Health Affairs Forefront Article: A Core Measure Set For Age-Friendly Health Care Delivery
Health Affairs Forefront has published an article titled, "A Core Measure Set For Age-Friendly Health Care Delivery."
Authors Caroline S. Blaum, MD, MS, Helaine E. Resnick, PhD, MPH, Daniela Lawton, MPH, and Angelia Bowman, MSPM, MS, highlight the importance of the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative (AFHS), developing age-friendly care measures and the criticality of driving equity.
They use a recent review of existing measure sets done by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), funded by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and The John A. Hartford Foundation, to reflect gaps that should be addressed in new measures.
