Health Affairs Request for Abstracts on Workforce for Community-based Care for Serious Illness
Health Affairs invites abstracts for a theme issue in June 2019 that will focus on building a workforce to meet the home- and community-based care needs of individuals living with serious illness, including multiple chronic conditions and conditions that limit the ability to perform common everyday activities. The submission deadline is June 25, 2018.
The issue will assess needs, explore what the current system delivers and where it falls short, and present evidence and reports on promising practices and approaches to building a home- and community-based workforce that can provide effective serious illness care.
Health Affairs is planning to publish about 20 peer-reviewed articles in the issue, including several invited overview papers that will set context for the issue.
