Hospital at Home Users Group Webinar: CMS on Hospital at Home - The AHCAH Waiver Study and the Future of the Field
The Hospital at Home Users Group (HaH), in partnership with the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM), is holding a webinar on November 21, "CMS on Hospital at Home: The Acute Hospital Care at Home (AHCAH) Waiver Study and the Future of the Field."
At the end of September, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) presented their highly awaited report on the Acute Hospital Care at Home Initiative to Congress. The report assessed various factors, including the quality, cost, and other elements related to the Acute Hospital Care at Home waiver.
For this webinar, HaH has brought together three policy experts to explore the findings of the report, its potential impact, and the future of the legislation that aims to extend the waiver for an additional five years.
The webinar is for hospital and system leaders interested in learning about the opportunities and challenges associated with providing acute care in the home.
Speakers include:
- Lisa Tripp, JD, Partner, Tripp Hollander Advisors
- Nancy Foster, Vice President, Quality and Patient Safety Policy, American Hospital Association
- Lee Fleisher, MD, Emeritus Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, University of Pennsylvania
- Ray Quintero (Moderator), Managing Partner, Healthsperien LLC
