Hospital at Home Users Group Webinar Slides: What's Needed Next? Hospital at Home During the Extended Waiver and Beyond
The Hospital at Home (HaH) Users Group, in partnership with the American Academy of Home Care Medicine and the American Hospital Association held a webinar March 7 on, "What's Needed Next? Hospital at Home During the Extended Waiver and Beyond." The webinar slides are available for download.
This webinar was for hospital and system leaders interested in learning about the opportunities and challenges associated with providing acute care in the home. The extension of the CMS Acute Hospital Care at Home waiver provides running room to establish and grow high quality Hospital at Home programs and an opportunity for the field to work collectively on fundamental issues critical to long-term health.
Several priorities were explored during the webinar including program standards, scale strategies, policy issues and payment approaches—all integral to ensuring long-term vitality and survival of Hospital at Home programs. Speakers included:
