JAGS Paper Health system approaches and experiences implementing the 4 Ms Insights from 3 early adopter health systems

The Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (JAGS) has published an article, "Health System Approaches and Experiences Implementing the 4Ms: Insights from 3 Early Adopter Health Systems."

This study details insights about the implementation approach and experiences with the 4Ms, (What Matters, Mobility, Medication and Mentation), a framework that is being adopted by thousands of organizations to promote the realization of an Age-Friendly Health System. The authors focused on three early adopter health systems and found common facilitators that likely bolster any effort to implement the 4Ms and common barriers to progress. These insights provide tangible lessons for health systems interested in implementing the 4Ms or improving their current approach to age-friendly care.
