The Journal of the American Geriatrics Society (JAGS) has released a Special Issue centered on "Workforce for Seriously Ill Older Adults in the Community."

The Special Issue presents papers from a May 2018 Summit convened to identify and prioritize recommendations to ensure an adequate workforce to support the care of people with serious illnesses in the community. The journal includes a summary of the recommendations developed at the Summit.

The papers include "Commentary on the Future of the Home Care Workforce: Training and Supporting Aides as Members of Home‐Based Care Teams" by JAHF's Rani E. Snyder MPA.

In addition, a May 2019 webinar outlined the recommendations and placed them in the context of recent research on how health care organizations are meeting serious illness care needs and federal policy initiatives.
