Kaiser Health News Event on Advance Care Planning: What You Need to Know Now
Kaiser Health News (KHN) Senior Correspondent, JoNel Aleccia, will moderate an expert panel discussion in Washington DC on November 8th on pressing issues surrounding end-of-life advance care planning and on navigating the medical, legal and ethical landscape of end-of-life care. Questions will be taken from the audience. The event is sponsored by The John A. Hartford Foundation.
Panelists include:
- Thaddeus Mason Pope, JD, PhD, an expert on end-of-life law;
- Judith Schwarz, RN, PhD, expert on choices made by patients and families at the end of life;
- Charles Sabatino, JD, Director of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Law and Aging; and
- Marian Grant, senior policy advisor, the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care.
The public event is an opportunity to learn from, and bring questions to, experts in the field about advanced care issues facing health care providers, policy-makers, consumers and their families.
