Age friendly care in action medscape 1

Medscape has released a set of training videos, "Age-Friendly Care in Action," for health care professionals to earn cost-free Continuing Education credits.

The videos were produced by JAHF and WebMD in support of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement, led by JAHF and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, in partnership with the American Hospital Association, the Catholic Health Association of the US and other organizations.

The modules explore age-friendly health care in three different settings: a university health center, a retail pharmacy clinic, and a VA medical center. They show how utilizing the 4Ms Framework for age-friendly care in clinician-older adult interactions can provide an efficient, structured, and satisfactory experience for both the clinical team and their patients.

The goal is for learners to be better able to establish age-friendly care in their clinical practice to ensure that older adult patients have the best possible outcomes. The video training offers participants:

Primary care physicians, internists, geriatricians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists and all clinicians who manage health care for an aging population are the intended audience.

The video hosts are:

  • John Whyte, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer, WebMD
