The Serious Illness Messaging Toolkit is an online public messaging resource for organizations that aims to improve public understanding about care for serious illness. The toolkit includes a quick guide on palliative care that explains:
- How best to introduce palliative care to the public.
- Why *not* to message palliative care as end-of-life.
- How to illustrate what palliative care does.
This webinar will include a discussion of the new research and paper, "Why Black, Hispanic, and Asian Patients Hesitate to Opt for Palliative Care: Deep Metaphors from Patients, Community Leaders, and Clinicians with Shared Cultural Identities to Shape More Effective Outreach."
