Milbank Blog: Ensuring COVID-19 Vaccine Access for Homebound Older Adults

Milbank blog 24

The Milbank Memorial Fund has published a blog, "Ensuring COVID-19 Vaccine Access for Homebound Older Adults."

The blog opens with the story of Mary Stevenson and her concern for her 90 year-old mother Ann who is homebound and unvaccinated. Ann is one of 2 million homebound older adults who have not been yet vaccinated. Trust for America's Health (TFAH) held two convenings with the White House Vaccine Coordinator, senior leaders from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Administration for Community Living on how to vaccinate homebound older adults. Authors John Auerbach and Megan Wolfe discuss takeaways from these convenings and outline how government can best meet the urgent vaccination need among homebound older adults..
