Moving Forward Coalition Education Session Recording: Action in Ohio - Governor’s Nursing Home Quality Task Force
The Moving Forward Coalition Nursing Home Quality Coalition held an Education Session November 16 on, "Action in Ohio: Governor’s Nursing Home Quality Task Force."
In this Coalition session, Ursel J. McElroy, Task Force Chair and Director of the Ohio Department of Aging, and Dr. Jessica Coleman, Task Force Member and Board President of the Ohio Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, talked about Ohio’s Nursing Home Quality & Accountability Task Force.
In less than a year, the Task Force has pulled together a set of recommendations and begun implementation of near-term goals on multiple fronts. Speakers shared their experiences about the opportunities and challenges of state-based, coalitional nursing home quality efforts, advice they have on how to launch similar efforts in other states, and insights into what Ohio has on its agenda next.
