Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition Resources: Nursing Home Leadership and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement
Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition has released a series of easy-to-use resources on nursing home leadership and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI).
The coalition worked with four Michigan nursing homes and other national advisors over two years to create and pilot the resources for nursing home leaders and staff to help implement QAPI and support leadership skill development.
The streamlined, usable tools include:
- Step-By-Step QAPI Program & Workbook for Nursing Home Teams: Includes interactive checklists, sample timelines, and worksheets to guide nursing home teams through QAPI implementation, from goal setting to evaluation.
- Advanced QAPI Resource Guide: Includes common definitions, frameworks, and guidance to support deeper understanding of QAPI principles.
- Educational QAPI Presentation Series: Ready-to-use presentations to build understanding of QAPI processes and procedures that cover topics like QAPI fundamentals, day-to-day process evaluation, data interpretation, and evaluation procedures.
- Supplemental presentations provide additional context about Performance Improvement Project (PIP) best practices and federal mandates:
