Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition Webinar: Piloting a Joint Surveyor Provider Training on Person-Centered Care
The Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition is hosting a webinar December 11 on, "Piloting a Joint Surveyor Provider Training on Person-Centered Care."
In April, the Moving Forward Coalition, in partnership with Michigan's Department of Licensure and Regulatory Affairs, piloted a one-day training on person-centered care principles and practices for all state surveyors and a subset of providers. A pre-and-post-test evaluation of the one-day training conducted by the Alzheimer's Association offered positive preliminary results in terms of self-reported confidence and knowledge.
During the webinar, Doug Pace, Co-Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee, Lauren Stratton (evaluator), Heather Hosey, Director of Health Facility Licensing, Permits and Support Division, and the Coalition's Chair, Alice Bonner, will discuss more about the training. They will share details about the curriculum, evaluation results and areas for improvement. They will also discuss opportunities to run the training in other states.
