Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition Webinar: Strengthening Resident Councils - Project Update
The Moving Forward Nursing Home Quality Coalition (Moving Forward Coalition) is holding a webinar September 11 on, "Strengthening Resident Councils: Project Update."
The goal of Moving Forward Coalition's Strengthening Resident Councils pilot project is to scale and spread a guide and process for strengthening resident councils in all nursing homes in at least one state. So far, they have been focusing on the state of Connecticut. Moving Forward Coalition recently created a new dedicated website: NursingHomeActionGuides.org, and published two related resident practice guides:
- Strengthening Resident Councils to help residents and those who support them create a successful Council
- A Guide to Addressing Resident Goals, Preferences and Priorities to support nursing home staff in addressing each resident’s goals, preferences, and priorities by offering resources and recommendations to implement a standardized process
Webinar speakers will give an update on Moving Forward's Strengthening Resident Councils initiative. Panelists include:
