The National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) will host a webinar on June 20, "It's a Journey - Age-Friendly and Dementia Capable Health Systems."

The webinar will highlight how the age-friendly and dementia-friendly movements can work together to build better health services and supportive communities for older adults living with dementia. MaineHealth's work to become a Dementia Capable health system will be discussed in the context of the spread of the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative. Speakers will discuss how systems programming and community partnerships can establish sustainable mechanisms to support individuals with dementia and their caregivers.

Speakers include:

  • Heidi R. Wierman, MD, FACP, Division Director for Geriatrics at Maine Medical Center and the Medical Director for Health Aging at MaineHealth
