NADRC Webinar: Navigating the World of Assistive Technology for People Living with Dementia

The National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) is holding a webinar on August 27, "Navigating the World of Assistive Technology for People Living with Dementia."

Are you caring for a person living with dementia or do you want to broaden your "toolbox" with strategies and solutions for someone living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease? This webinar will focus on Assistive Technologies (AT) - any service or tool that helps older adults or persons with disabilities perform activities that might otherwise be difficult or impossible - that can benefit people living with dementia.

Presenters include:

  • Carolyn Phillips, Director of Tools for Life, Georgia Tech
  • Rachel Wilson, AT Specialist, Tools for Life, Georgia Tech

The webinar will define what AT is, identify 3 core activities of your state AT program, explain AT strategies to support people living with dementia and discuss devices, hardware/software/apps to promote well-being for people living with dementia.

The webinar is part of the NADRC web seminar series, sponsored by the Administration for Community Living. It is being hosted by the American Society on Aging (ASA).
