NASEM Workshop: Developing a Behavioral and Social Science Research Agenda on Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias

NASEM workshop 10 17 19

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Decadal Survey of Behavioral and Social Science Research on Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias will hold a one-day workshop in Washington, DC on October 17, "Developing a Behavioral and Social Science Research Agenda on Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementias."

The National Academies’ Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education appointed a committee to conduct a decadal survey focusing on developing a research agenda for the next decade in the behavioral and social sciences as it relates to Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRD). For this Decadal Survey, drawing on extensive input from the scientific community and other stakeholders, the committee is assessing the role of the social and behavioral sciences in reducing the burden of AD/ADRD.

The John A. Hartford Foundation is one of the co-sponsors of the Decadal Survey.
