NASEM Workshop Proceedings: Improving Access to and Equity of Care for People with Serious Illness
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) has released a proceedings report, "Improving Access to and Equity of Care for People with Serious Illness: Proceedings of a Workshop."
The workshop highlighted different models of care delivery that serve various communities and vulnerable populations, with the aim of addressing opportunities to minimize barriers, inform policy initiatives, and determine areas for further research to improve access to and equity of care for people with serious illness. This report introduces discussions and presentations based on the types of models of care delivery serving both vulnerable populations and diverse communities.
The John A. Hartford Foundation (JAHF) was one of the co-sponsors of the Roundtable on Quality Care for People with Serious Illness.
