NASEM Workshop Proceedings Report: Family Caregiving for People with Cancer and Other Serious Illnesses

NASEM Proceedings Si L Caregiving

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) has released a workshop proceedings report, "Family Caregiving for People with Cancer and Other Serious Illnesses."

NASEM's Roundtable on Quality Care for People with Serious Illness, together with the National Cancer Policy Forum and the Forum on Aging, Disability and Independence, hosted a collaborative public workshop on May 16-17, 2022 that examined opportunities to better support family caregiving for people with cancer or other serious illnesses across the continuum of care through research, policy and programmatic initiatives. To highlight the critical role of the family caregiver, insights and perspectives of the family caregiving experience - the caregiver voice - were incorporated throughout all of the workshop sessions. This report was based off those workshops.

The John A. Hartford Foundation is one of the co-sponsors of the Roundtable on Quality Care for People with Serious Illness and of the Forum on Aging, Disability and Independence.
