NASHP Report: Lessons Learned from Six States in the RAISE Act State Family Caregiving Institute
The National Academy for State Health Policy's (NASHP) State Policy Institute on Family Caregiving has released a report, "Lessons Learned from Six States in the RAISE Act State Family Caregiving Institute."
NASHP launched the State Policy Institute on Family Caregiving to support states interested in developing policies and practices to support family caregivers. It provided technical assistance to states in a learning lab model, including opportunities to convene monthly as a group and learn from other states’ approaches.
The policy institute content was developed in concert with the RAISE Family Caregivers Act and informed the development of the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers. Following the policy institute, which convened from March 2021 to March 2022 (with two states extending through June 2022), NASHP shared accomplishments from six states and lessons learned.
