The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) has released a report, "Family Caregiving Council Refines Goals to Guide National Strategy," about the RAISE Act Family Caregiving Advisory Council August 12, 2020 meeting. The Council is tasked by the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support, and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act to create a National Family Caregiving Strategy.

The meeting included presentations from experts on the parallels between recommendations issued by the National Alzheimer’s Project Act (NAPA) Advisory Council and the council’s own work to make recommendations to Congress to better support family caregivers. In addition to the report, a meeting video, including remarks from Secretary of Health and Human Service Alex Azar, and a slide presentation have also been released.

The Administration for Community Living also published a blog on the occasion of the Council’s first anniversary detailing its progress. The Council is currently working on its report to Congress.
