Next Avenue: Still Here, Still Positive Special Report

Next Avenue has released a new special report, "Still Here, Still Positive," a series on America's first generation aging with HIV/AIDS, which is presented by The John A. Hartford Foundation.

Nearly 70% of Americans living with HIV/AIDS are now over the age of 50. Prevention, testing and care efforts focus on younger people, making older people living with HIV/AIDS particularly vulnerable to inadequate care and poor health outcomes. Throughout the next three months, this series will tell the stories of people, practitioners and programs pushing for solutions.

The first story, "Long-term Survivors of HIV/AIDS Reflect on What They’ve Witnessed and Endured," was cross-posted on PBS NewsHour.
