NHPCO Webinar Recording: COVID-19 Discussion on Effective Virtual Visits
The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) held a webinar April 27, “COVID-19 Discussion on Effective Virtual Visits.”
The COVID-19 pandemic provides an opportunity to increase the use of virtual visits for the provision of hospice and palliative care services. Virtual care is essential to minimize the risk of exposure for patients, their families, and the health care team, while reducing the use of scarce personal protective equipment supply.
In this webinar, an interdisciplinary faculty shared best practices for conducting virtual visits. Participants learnt general guiding principles for effective video and telephonic visits, as well as gained understanding specific to each discipline.
