NYS Association for Rural Health Report: Rural Health Reimagined - Policy Support & Change for Rural Aging in New York
The New York State Association for Rural Health (NYSARH) has released a report, "Rural Health Reimagined: Policy Support & Change for Rural Aging in New York."
The report is a comprehensive summary of insights, challenges and actionable recommendations to support aging populations in rural New York State.
Earlier this year, NYSARH held the Aging Policy Summit, funded by the National Rural Health Association and The John A. Hartford Foundation, to convene experts, stakeholders and community advocates to address the unique healthcare, housing, transportation and social service needs of rural older adults. This report synthesizes those discussions, offering a clear path for policy development and community-based solutions tailored to rural regions.
NYSARH is also holding their annual symposium on September 17-18. The symposium is recognized as one of New York State's premier gatherings for healthcare, public health, health and human service agencies, mental health, workforce development, mobility, governmental representatives, community-based organizations, rural health networks, and all key stakeholders interested in emerging innovations in rural health.
