Patient Priorities Care: Tele-Mentoring Series and Other Educational Opportunities
Patient Priorities Care has announced virtual training workshops taking place in October for credentialed healthcare professionals, as well as two videos explaining Patient Priorities Care, an approach to decision making that aligns health care with a person’s own health priorities – the health outcome goals they most desire, given the healthcare tasks they are willing and able to do to achieve them.
The next Patient Priorities Care Tele-Mentoring series runs October 3 - December 12 on alternating Tuesdays at 12pm ET and is open to clinicians and clinician educators. This virtual course outlines the Patient Priorities Care decision-making framework over 6 sessions, with an optional seventh session geared towards those with or without formal roles in education who wish to teach this framework to other health professionals or trainees. Sessions start October 3 and registrants will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Recent past training included an Advanced Trainee Workshop series in September for clinician-educators of interdisciplinary advanced trainees to teach how to identify priorities and how to align care to priorities. Additionally, a September webinar was held with American Association for Nurse Practitioners (AANP) on incorporating Patient Priorities Care as a nurse practitioner.

A Geriatrics paper has been published which highlights the efficacy of Patient Priorities Care as an Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) approach to align care with 'What Matters' from the 4Ms framework.
