Policy Institute Roundtables at GSA Annual Scientific Meeting
The Policy Institute Roundtables will be happening on November 20, 2015 from 8:00 AM -10:00 AM. The Policy Institute held each year in June in Washington, DC, enables participants to gain knowledge and acquire skills necessary to mobilize for policy action at the national, state, or local level. This roundtable will bring together Policy Institute alumni from the 2014 and 2015 institutes as well as applicants for the 2016 Policy Institute.
The Policy Institute is an important aspect of the John A. Hartford Foundation Change AGEnts Initiative because it provides Change AGEnts with another avenue to pursue practice change to bring about improvements in the health care and quality of life for older adults. The Policy Institute held each year in June in Washington, DC, enables participants to gain knowledge and acquire skills necessary to mobilize for policy action at the national, state, or local level. This roundtable will bring together Policy Institute alumni from the 2014 and 2015 institutes as well as applicants for the 2016 Policy Institute.
The event will allow institute participants to check-in and hear what progress their colleagues have made, inform each other about the challenges they are facing, and allow an opportunity to exchange feedback. This event is also meant to provide an open dialogue between previous institute participants and potential applicants. Potential applicants will hear about previous participants’ experiences at the institute and beyond and have an opportunity to talk and ask questions about the application process, the pre-institute activities, and institute expectations and goals. This event is open to former Policy Institute participants and potential applicants to the institute. Refreshments will be provided.
