Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Aging at Johns Hopkins Center for Innovative Care in Aging
The Center for Innovative Care in Aging at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing is currently recruiting postdoctoral fellows. Under the direction of Laura N. Gitlin, PhD, the Center uses novel approaches to enhance the yield of programs, policies, practices, and tools to help diverse older adults and family members remain healthy, independent, and living in their own homes and communities. Postdoctoral fellows will participate in Center meetings and training opportunities such as the Summer Research Institute on Developing Behavioral Interventions, and will work with core faculty on existing or newly developed research projects in the areas of aging and behavioral interventions. As a Fellow, they will have access to exceptional resources to facilitate the conduct of their own research including multiple opportunities to publish and assistance with grant-writing or project planning for the next stage of their research careers. Opportunities will also be available to work with Dr. Gitlin and others on the John A. Hartford Foundation Change AGEnts Initiative which may include, for example, developing an evaluative approach to capture interprofessional activity and identifying, pilot testing and/or cataloguing evidence-based change practice strategies. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the potential for funding to be extended an additional year. Applications are due April 1, 2014.
