RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council Votes to Approve Council Recommendations for Inclusion in Initial Report to Congress
The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) has published a report of the RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council meeting, "RAISE Family Caregiving Advisory Council Votes to Approve Council Recommendations for Inclusion in Initial Report to Congress."
The report on last month's meeting of the Family Caregiving Advisory Council, established by the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support, and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act, notes that the council voted on and unanimously approved 26 recommendations to support family caregivers, across the lifespan, structured around the council’s goals for the national strategy. These recommendations will also be part of the council’s initial report to Congress.
The council also heard a presentation on a caregiver stories project from the National Alliance for Caregiving, which will be incorporated into its report to Congress. Presentation slides and a video of the meeting are also available in the report.
